Before move-in day
1. Electric and gas. Coronado is served by San Diego Gas & Electric. Set up service to start on your move-in date. 2. Water, trash and internet. Your escrow officer or Rudy can point you to your providers. 3. Movers. Book early for the dates you want, and ask about access and parking on your street.
In your first weeks
1. Driver license and vehicle. New California residents apply for a California driver license within 10 days of establishing residency and register their vehicles within 20 days. The DMV website lists current requirements. 2. Voter registration. Register at registertovote.ca.gov or through the DMV. 3. Address changes. Update your address with the post office, banks, insurers and employer. 4. Homeowners insurance and property tax. Keep your policy details and watch for the supplemental tax bill after closing.

Visit the library, walk the Village and try the farmers market. The rest will follow.
